What's New???

Welcome to my 7th grade world cultures class at Avonworth Middle School!!  this will be a wonderful year and I am looking forward to working with everyone.  Begin this week with checking out my current events page to give you a jump start on your daily current events update.  There are places where you can view audio clips on CNN and a great site to get the election updates.  This is also the site where we will be participating in the first on-line student election.  Get prepared to vote-get the facts!!!  We are also trying to set up a culture exchange with a class in Japan-stay tuned for information on this class.

WebQuest of the Month

Every month a new webquest will be featured in conjunction with the unit that I am teaching.  After the unit is over you can find it archived under the corresponding topic you are looking for.  There are two featured webquests that my students will be using in class.  The first is a recreation of an Islamic hajj.  It is a wonderful journey of what a modern day hajj entails with travel arrangements, rituals and problems.....See it here.   The next is an interactive web-quest detailing the life of Leonardo DaVinci for a Renaissance unit................... .
